News From the Neighborhood
At the June neighborhood meeting Tuesday, June 13, the association’s board will plan the budget for the new fiscal year, which begins July 1. If you’ve been mulling over a neighborhood project that you’d like to take charge of on behalf of the association, please bring your proposal so that it can be considered in the budget process.

Montrose-in-May Tradition Continues with Food and Fun  by Justin Adams
Montrose-in-May, the association’s annual Memorial Day block party, brought together more than 100 neighbors for three hours of games, eating, and music. The 90-degree heat didn’t dampen spirits as children played in the sun and adults mingled in the shade. The inflatable trampoline, magician and sprinkler were particular favorites among younger neighbors. The association thanks, in particular, the following neighbors: on Montrose, Tricia Frantz (Montrose-in-May committee chair), Steve West, Todd McEachern, Eric Fogle; on Halcyon, Wendy Stamberger, Ed Dilks; on Paris, Ken Winter; and on Vaulx, Bernadette Welch. The association also thanks the dozens of neighbors who brought their families and food and made this neighborhood festival a great success!

In Sympathy Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mark Sanders, who passed away in early June. Mark was an active member of the community, often delivering newsletters and working on the hillside garden on Paris.
